We prepare bags of new toys and other items for children up to 13 years of age. The value of these bags may vary as we are dependent on donated items. The vast majority of donated items are for children aged 3 to 8 years old. We try to maintain program integrity by packing similar items in each bag. We pack the bags carefully so that each bag has similar quality and value.
In order to fill all age categories we have to purchase large quantities of items using donated money from fundraising, corporations and the generosity of our citizens. We shop all year long looking for the best deals and sales. Remember there are no paid positions; everything is done by a group of dedicated and caring volunteers.
To best meet the needs of our program we really like to receive toys that are valued no more than $20.00 or $25.00. This allows us to provide more items to each child. Below is a list of suggestions which you can use to determine how best to help us meet our goal. We expect to register over 3000 children again this year.
